Julia is a twenty something year old woman who is in sex drought. On her quest to change things she discovers that she really doesn’t like having sex with men and comes to embrace her lesbianism. Throughout this story we see Julia find her footing, make new friends, and make mistakes along the way. I loved the support system that Julia had around her and overall she had a good head on her shoulders. I could definitely see myself being her friend in real life. I have to say I didn’t like the way she let a certain person treat her and I saw the red flags from the very beginning. But life is all about making mistakes and having growing experiences. I cheered Julia on throughout this whole story and I loved the way she evolved along the way. Reading this story was like being with friends and I love that feeling. This was a funny, clever and heartfelt debut story. The writing was solid. The chapter headings had me in stitches and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
