At first glance the cover had my attention but wait until you get into the pages!
Based in London, Julia is a woman in her twenties feeling down on her luck. She’s not happy in her job, her love life, and doesn’t seem to be thrilled about her life in general that is until one night she goes to a party with her friend and roommate and locks eyes with what she is yet to realize will soon become a game changer for her.
In at the deep end, was engagingly funny for me. The authors writing style made it easy for me to be comfortable with and I felt like I knew these characters. It might not be for some with the graphic language in which I didn’t mind but others might — overall I really enjoyed it!
