This book is what would happen if Bridget Jones meets the cast of the L Word and then goes to a S&M club. It was well written and engaging. The characters are funny and interesting. Compelling secondary characters. While there were lots of sex scenes (as the protagonist goes through a sexual awakening) they were not terribly graphic which I appreciated. It was interesting watching the heroine go off the deep end into a world that she wasn't totally comfortable with in order to please her girlfriend. A relevant narrative about being lost in an abusive relationship and finding oneself. While this book focuses on the LGBT community this narrative is pertinent across all sexual orientations.
