I wanted to love this book so badly. Unfortunately, 200 pages in and I kept waiting for something to happen. There was a lot of Julia finding her place as a queer woman, which is very important and not something we get in books a lot. It was very informative, but again I kept waiting for something more to happen. I liked that the sex was fumbling in the beginning. No one is perfect at sex the first time, especially sec that you don’t see in the media a lot so those scenes were very human and realist. The characters were also pretty complex for the most part though some were stereotypes and flat. I would pick up the book and then put it down and read something else. Because of the heart and the very human feelings, I did finish it.
