Unfortunately this was a miss for me. I might have been able to up the review to two stars if I hadn't read the misleading synopsis. It was promoted as a fresh and funny rom-com, but was anything but funny as the book progressed into very serious relationship issues. It was an odd mix of the "funny" and the distressing. The "funny" parts did not leaven the heaviness of the sexual misconduct in the book. Surprisingly, since I don't consider myself a prude, I thought that sex was too pervasive in the book and the vast majority of it was not good -- both selfish and abusive. I don't think that I could get through a page without some mention of sex. I wish I could say that I liked this, but it was not for me. It was anything but a rom-com.
