This is fantasy-superhero story set in Nigeria. In the beginning, Nnamdi is a young Igbo boy. One day his father doesn't come home, and a nasty letter is given to him. Later that night Nnamdi finds out that his father (chief of police) was murdered, most likely from a gang leader called Chief of Chiefs.
One year later, at his father's memorial service, Nnamdi follows a suspicious visitor, only to find out that it is his father's spirit. His father gives him an Ikenga, which gives him superhero-like strength. He immediately saves a young couple from the gang's car thief.
Nnamdi is going to relate to a lot of young middle-grade and teens, and his story is going to excite many fantasy and comic readers.
