I really liked this charming but mysterious tale. I think the author managed to pack a lot of story in to this book. There's lots of layers - media, points of view, motive, beliefs, etc.

The main character is driven. He makes mistakes, but learns from them. The other characters have enough written about them to be realistic but the story truly centers around Nnamdi. Writing is descriptive without weighing the story down. There are just enough hints to connect to later on in the story.
The plot is straightforward, but the culprit took me a bit by surprise. While the book starts off slow, and quite sad, I am happy with the way the book ended.

I also enjoyed learning a bit more about Nigeria and Nigerian culture.
