I loved this book! It is absolutely perfect! Ikenga is the middle grade debut of renowned author Nnedi Okorafor who has penned such amazing titles such as the Binti trilogy and the Akata Witch trilogy. Ikenga is an africanfuturism story set in Nigeria and is the story about a young boy named Nnamdi whose father has been murdered by the corupt Chief of Chiefs. He wants revenge, but what can he, as just a young boy, do? Enter the Ikenga, which is a magical object that can grant superpowers. He is charged to use the powers for good, and Nnamdi needs to discover how to control his powers as well as complete his mission to avenge his father's death. Wow! What a book! I loved every second of it! This is not to be missed!
