Typically, I usually read in the adult or young adult genres and I don't usually read middle grade books. However, after I read this book, I really loved it and did not feel like it was too "simplistic" or lacking in depth at all. I loved the storyline, characters, and the cover is simply gorgeous. I'd reccomend this book to anyone who loves magic and a pretty quick but enjoyable read.
Ikenga really impressed me with its unique magic system, intriguing world, and especially its characters. I'm excited to read more books by the author. In addition, the worldbuilding was amazing as well as the pacing. The plot twists also added to the flow of the story, but were not either overly predictable, or too wild.
