I really enjoyed this paranormal drama. It was an engrossing book and I breezed right through determined to see how it all played out. The writing was excellent and I loved the subtle humor that was draped through the story. Alice is the only scholarship student at her prestigious private school in China. The scholarship is only partial and her parents have let her know that they don’t have the money for her to graduate from there. She is always focused, driven but is at a loss for how she will figure this out. That same day a strange thing happens. Alice turns invisible and sees the possibility to solve her problems. Her academic rival (and painfully slow burn love interest) Henry helps her by developing an app where their classmates can make requests that only an invisible person can fulfill. The power to turn invisible doesn’t work the way Alice through it would and her adventures slowly teach her that there are more important things than grades.
