This book was so good I finished it in two days. I connected alot with Alice who is the main character. As someone who is a person of color and establishes her self worth in how well she does in school. I loved the dynamic between Henry and her. It did not feel rushed and the pacing was good. I like books that have a main plot and a subplot of romance and I think this book handled the balance of it well. Chanel became on of my favorites and I was not expecting it. It was nice to see Alice grow as her own person and be able to develop friendships. Even though this is fiction it felt like this book was realistic in many aspects as well. Like her not being able to stay at the school in the end because of the incident of her helping her schoolmate get kidnapped. Her dynamic with her family also resonated with me a lot. I wished we could just know more details about how her powers came to be. Also see a glimpse of their future.
