When I first saw this cover months ago I was in awe. I’ll be honest I entirely forgot what this book was about until I started reading. After the first sentence it was like I tunneled into the book and dropped into the seen. It felt like I was walking the streets of Beijing again. Also the magical realism aspect is freaking invisible. And wow there is so much to unpack from this story that I don’t even know where to start. At the beginning of this book Alice finds herself randomly becoming invisible. What does she do? Go to her arch nemesis’ Henry because he’s the only other person she can think of who might be able to help her figure out what was going on. From this they end up developing a scheme to use the invisibility to Alice’s advantage since she is going to having to decide what to do about her schooling because she is not on a full ride scholarship for her boarding school so if she can’t figure out what to do about her schooling.
