I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was supposed to be a good read for those who liked We Are The Brennans. I agree. It’s a book centering around three generations of the Williams family.
It starts with the death of the patriarch and a secret is revealed at his funeral. Each member of the family has to come to terms with this secret as as well as dealing with their own issues. Marital difficulties, unplanned pregnancy, sexual orientation revelations, interracial relationships and other relationship issues both among the family members as well as outsiders are found in this book. Even though there was a lot going on, the book flowed nicely. The characters were well developed and I found this book very interesting. One piece of criticism is there are a lot of characters and I found I had difficulty at first keeping them all straight. Otherwise, I recommend this book.
