I am three quarters of the way through I Must Betray You and I can hardly put it down to sleep. The story is gripping, the characters are real and relatable. The setting is devastating but addictive. Ruta continues to amaze me with her story telling abilities.
The Securitate and informers constantly have you guessing who you can trust, including your own family and friends. Poor Christian and his hardship with everyone around him, I just couldn't fathom living in a world like that, and yet, so many Romanian's did!
