First off, I am so happy and excited that Ruta Sepetys has written yet another historical fiction novel! I am such a huge fan of her work; her novels are so emotional and hard to put down. This one is no different. It is about a period of history that is seldom written about in fiction: the Communist era in Romania. I immediately connected with the protagonist of the novel, Cristian, and was enthralled by his story and the way he narrated it. I cannot wait to get my hands on the book! The cover is also very fitting for the story and makes me wonder how it will end. The premise of the novel is very unique and I look forward to finishing the story!
