Ruta Sepetys' novels are a ticket to another time and place, and highlight historical events that are less commonly studied in US classrooms. Based on this preview, Sepetys has done it again, sending readers to 1989 Romania for a chilling account of life under one of the twentieth century's infamous dictators, Nicolae Ceaușescu. I can't wait to read the rest of this story!
