I Like Me Better is perfect book for fans of light-hearted, low-stakes, romantic comedies! Zach is a likeable but flawed character who finds himself in an unfortunate situation. After taking the fall for a prank carried out by a friend on his soccer team, he is forced to give up his summer plans to complete community service hours over the summer instead. However, not all is lost, when he meets meets Chip, a cute and passionate intern at a conservation center Zach volunteers at. The two boys are complete opposites which makes for really fun and adorable dialogue and interactions! But beyond the meet cute and crushing, there’s a lot of really great things going on around identity exploration and personal growth. It’s definitely a light and easy read, but had a lot of substance that makes it a fulfilling read as well. I highly recommend this one!
