This book seems like a run read with a good handle on the voice and dramas of teen boys, even if I have to roll my eyes at the entire setup. The glorification of sports and team captains is so overwrought, along with the idea that it's some kind of gold star to "take one for the team" when really it's just agreeing to be the scapegoat for the graduating captain's stupid prank.
