I Have Lost My Way follows 3 young people; Freya, Harun and Nathaniel, who all feel lost and alone after being abandoned by people close to them. They meet by an act of fate and find that despite their situations being completely different, they've all experienced extreme loss and they find a way to help each other through it. I went into this book with sky high expectations because of how much I loved Gayle Forman's other work that I've read. I Have Lost My Way did not disappoint. I've been in a horrible reading slump, but I picked this book up yesterday and could not put it down. I loved the characters; they are all dealing with loss and abandonment of their close family members in completely different, yet completely valid ways. I think that each of the three main characters had relatable aspects that I appreciated reading about.
