This is an interesting young adult novel. All three main characters have lost something profound and connect on one day. I wanted more about Nathaniel. I connected with Freya but also wanted more about how her and Nathaniel connect. I enjoyed Harun’s story but did not love James. It was a quick read. I was very motivated to save Nathaniel and get a good resolution for Freya. I had a lot of frustration over the decisions that Harum made. I was also frustrated by Freya’s family dynamics. I did enjoy the way the novel was organized and the flow of the story. I adored the themes of loss and connection were compelling. Nathaniel definitely made this book for me and kept me turning the pages to find what happened.
