Just imagine reading this a thousand times and you have an approximation of what it was like reading this book. Obviously, I'm being a bit hyperbolic here but it does feel like the author decided to randomly pepper the phrase throughout the story in case the reader forgot the title or the theme of the book. Suffice to say, I did not enjoy this book and found it to be highly redundant. I also found it difficult to connect with the characters, which lessened the emotional weight of the story. It's a shame, since the premise has merit and I've heard good things about Gayle Forman's works.
