I Have Lost My Way is a story about three young people, Freya, Harun, and Nathaniel, who are all lost and alone after being deserted by people they care about. They meet by chance and discover that, despite their very different circumstances, they've both suffered extreme loss and have found a way to help each other get through it.
Because of how much I enjoyed Gayle Forman's previous work, I went into this book with high hopes. I Have Lost My Way didn't let me down. I've been stuck in a reading rut, but I started reading this book yesterday and couldn't put it down.
I adored the characters; they're all coping with the loss and abandonment of near family members in their own unique, yet true, ways. Each of the three main characters had relatable qualities that I enjoyed learning about.
I adored the story's conclusion; it was beautifully wrapped up for me, not with a perfect pretty bow, but with a very true, relatable conclusion. This is a book that I would strongly recommend.
