This book had an interesting premise but I felt it was lacking something I couldn't quite put my finger on. The diversity was great but the stories were so depressing I found myself feeling more depressed the more I read. This book was not for me.
I have lost my way is a phrase all the characters in this book think. They are all going through very different but really emotionally stressful & difficult things in their lives. I love YA Contemporary novels but this one hit me hard and I felt so down I actually wondered if I was going into a reading slump or something til I started a different book.
I chose not to rate this book bc it was a DNF but if I had it would be 2 depressing ⭐️⭐️ because it was hard to get into with the writing and the topics were tough and it overall affected how I felt the rest of the day.
I'm not saying someone else may not enjoy this or want to read it, I just couldn't.
