Nathaniel never had a father figure in his life, his dad had mental problems and acts along the lines of a best friend and he lost his way trying to protect who should have protected him in the first place.
This book is easy to relate to in the event that you've ever felt lost in your life. This book can teach the reader that things get better with time and that when your lost, you will be found. This book also makes me think about some of the fragile issues that we face in society at this point in time, and that may not affect me personally but so many other people out in the world. I connect to it so much and that's one of the reasons why I love it so much.
