This is a contemporary exploration of what happens when your world crashes and you have to change your expectations of what you want from life and even yourself.
There are so many relatable things that happen to Margaret in this story and her reactions are relatable. The way that she is forced to deal with the things in her life that were already broken (even though she may have pretended that they were perfect) is startling at first, but coming to terms with the way things change and that are not always perfect is a great read.
This book is heart-breaking at turns and yet heart-warming and funny at others. I think what resonated with me most is that at first, Margaret reacts like we all would, pretending that everything is okay. But soon she is dealing with things realistically and she is a fighter.
