Simply amazing. This refreshing book is both a coming into awareness as well as a coming back to life story. It is about discovering what is most important to you, what in life is worth fighting for.
The characters and the story are so relatable I have to believe they are based on true events.

Like many young women, Margaret Jacobsen thinks she has it all, just as her adult life is starting. She is in love, and allows a man to convince her to do something she knows in her heart she does not want to do. And he convinces her to do it illegally! This shows us readers how weak and manipulative Chip will turn out to be. He is really the weak spot in this story.

Then there is Ian, the man we have a love/dislike affair with. We know there are so many layers to him. I couldn't get to hate but he does mean so very well.

I appreciated how this is a family story, not just about one woman fighting for her life.
