I am all in with this book. I see people logging it as "chick lit" and "romance" and those are not my go-to genres, but this book just made me smile as I finished the last words of the chapter. It was easy to get lost in quickly, and Margaret was very easy to relate to. She was not a silly girl, she wasn't love-sick, she was a woman who I really related to. In just this chapter we learn a lot about Margaret, and her back story and family life, and we are quickly set up for what happens after the end of this chapter. Her boyfriend is not a cardboard cutout, but fleshed out as much as possible in these few pages. I understood completely that Margaret loved him, and the author gets across that their relationship is complicated but true.

The end of the chapter was terrifying because I so completely understood Margaret's initial fears, but the smile I was left with was due to my happiness and excitement at finding this promising new book. A book has to win me over quickly these days, and this one definitely did it.
