When I first started reading this book - it was very predictable and I also thought about not bothering to read the book - but then all the of the predictable plot lines swiveled and the story gets really good.
The relationship between the main character and her sister is realistic and endearing. The story arc explaining why the mom and sister haven't spoken was unexpected.
I alternated between reading and listening to the audiobook and the story was sweet with comedic points and a realness of someone whos planned life was completely destroyed due to someone who should have deep down known that he was in the wrong.
I also am a sucker for a Scottish character. Great story across the board, if only a tad predictable at parts.
