I love Katherine Center’s books and this one is no exception!! Even though her books often cover dark topics, her writing always manages to fill me with joy. This story was well-written and was a huge light in a dark time of my life. At times, it seemed a little bit “too happy” and probably not the most realistic portrayal of certain events BUT I think this book is targeted to an audience who is looking for a lighthearted and hopeful read. It does what I think the author intended it to do, which is to uplift readers and provide them with positive feelings. I usually read a lot of disturbing mysteries and thrillers and this was a great escape when those types of books were becoming too much to deal with. Great book!
