I loved it!!! "How to Walk Away is one of the best books I have read this year. Wow, so heartfelt and moving. The writer had me hooked from the first chapter. I couldn't put it down. Margaret "Maggie" Jacobsen is in love with Chip Dunbar waiting to become his fiancee, but she always has premonitions of death by flying. Tragic event happens when Chip pressures Maggie into flying with him before he gets his pilot license. I went through so many emotions with Maggie with her fear, sorrow and pain. Chip was such a disappointment and jerk. As the back of the book cover states, "Life can change in a blink of an eye. But strength is found in weakness...and love shows up when you learn to move on". Maggie loses old friends and gains new ones, Ian her Physical Therapist, Kitty her estranged sister returns and his her greatest champion. So much happens with old family secret tears family apart, so much hurt, but story told in such a way to be inspirational and not depressing. As Maggie tells her story, she says, " You have to live the life you have. You have to find inspiration in the struggle and pull joy out of hardship. I loved so many parts of the book. Kudos to author Katherine Center. I will definitely be reading her other books.
