This book exceeded my expectations, and included a roller coaster of emotions. Relief, sadness, second chances, love, forgiveness, depression, desperation, happiness, and many more. I smiled through this book as much as I cried. Despite the many times Maggie tried to give up, I was still rooting for her and enjoyed the overall upbeat attitude of this book.

Never before have I hated a character in a novel as much as I have hated Chip in this one. I cannot believe he got off so easily and had the audacity to act the way he did toward Maggie. Everyone else around was supportive in their own way, and I loved seeing their individual reactions with her, but I dreaded every time Chip came into the picture. But by the end, he seemed to be the miserable one while everyone else prospered, though it was said in no uncertain terms.

This book contained so so very much forgiveness, between Maggie and the other characters as well as for herself. Every single one of them suffered hardships, though none as hard as her, and every single one of them were able to overcome in their own way. The epilogue was a very welcome addition, being very sad but overall a happy note to end things on. I promise I am not contradicting myself, you will have to read it to find out what I mean.
