How to Walk Away is the story of how Margaret’s perfect day turns into her worst day. She just got a MBA and was offered her dream job. Her boyfriend takes her into a plane to propose knowing she is terrified of flying and they crash.

I give this book 3.5 stars. Much of the book was predictable and some of it seemed like caricature. It was compelling women’s fiction about starting over and redefining your life vision. I read it in one sitting and could not put it down. I did adore Ian. Kitty was over the top and the mother was hard to like even though she displayed character growth. Overall I enjoyed the romance aspect quite a bit, as well as the emotions Margaret feels as she acknowledges her new reality.
