HOW TO WALK AWAY has completely scared me, and I probably will never set foot on a small prop plane because of this book. HOW TO WALK AWAY represents how people (aka Margaret's fiance) shy away from change or a traumatic experience. This book was so devastating to read, but I felt like I was right there with Margaret while she was going through a tough time after the accident. Katherine Center writes with honesty and doesn't shy away from including all of the messy sequences that Margaret endures. Margaret learns to pick up her life again, in a different way, and I was continuously inspired by Margaret's determination and perseverance. HOW TO WALK AWAY is all about finding the courage to get back up when you have none.
