Perfect book about finding the silver lining in a bad and unfortunate situation. There is something for everyone in this story- complex family dynamics, reshaping hopes and dreams, breakups, and developing new relationships. The love story that developed between Maggie and Ian felt genuine and authentic, which I find is sometimes hard for authors to depict. The majority of characters in this book were flawed and wounded which was refreshing to see. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey the protoganist Maggie went on. I appreciated the fact that the story wasn't all rainbows and unrealistic outcomes. Although she lost so much in the accident, she gained so much too-- mended relationships, independence, a new purpose. I will definitely being reading more from this author.
