Ugh...my heart. How To Walk Away gave me every single one of the feels.
I was immediately drawn in by the first chapter. My heart was legit racing! From that point on, Center wove such a beautiful story about resilience, hope and love. I couldn't put it down. I loved both of the main characters. Their banter was great and really built up the anticipation of a romantic connection.
I appreciated that Center didn't steer away from the messiness of Margaret's struggles. I think the authenticity of this story was found in the honesty of the struggle and the emotions. Margaret's frustration and anger was warranted. It added just the right amount of rawness to the story.
This was my first read by Katherine Center and I can't wait for the next! Why did I wait this long?! Great storyteller!
