I admit, I picked this book mainly because of the title. I really didn’t know what it was about. But I liked the title and the cover. I almost stopped early on because I started rolling my eyes. A lot. Mainly over some of the predictableness and tropes. But I’m glad I kept on.
Was it like a Hallmark movie? A bit predictable? Destined to have a happy ending? Yes. But I also found it inspiring and hopeful. I loved it. I’m a sucker for a romance, overcoming tragedy and hardship, and happy endings. I think Katherine Center has written a beautiful story. I’ve never been in a hospital, much less been in a tragic accident, but I thought the author did a great job describing what it must be like immediately after an accident and then in the emergency room. Overall, a heartwarming story that I would recommend.
