HOW TO WALK AWAY is a fun, fast read that reminds readers of the importance of every single day, with sweet romance and travel storylines as well. Margaret's struggles to recover from her paralyzing accident and disfiguration are paired with her complicated relationships with her mother and sister, as well as her engagement drama and attraction to her new physical therapist. Since this burgeoning relationship is not allowed because he is a part of her medical team, I very much appreciate how Center dealt with it so delicately ~ I was hoping for and relieved that breaking these regulations wasn't overly glamorized. I definitely can't speak for the medical accuracy of ANY of it, but I can tell you that when I read a book like this I'm not reading it for an education.....I'm reading it for an escape. The part of the book that sealed the 4th star for me is the events of the last 20% of the book......events I won't share with you since I don't want to spoil anything!

Recommended for readers looking for a heartfelt story that can be inhaled in just a few sittings.....or even one long day on the beach!
