Wow. One chapter in and I am so wrapped up in this story. Already I feel connected to these characters and their story, and so worried about their well-being and what happens next for them. My heart is beating a little faster in my chest, even. And I am dying to know where this goes! If I had one criticism, it would be that the pacing of the work on a sentence level is not always consistent with what's happening in the story. The whole chapter reads very fast-paced and quick, like there should always be something rather intense going on even when there's not. Some of this can be attributed to the voice of the main character/narrator, but I don't know that I'd want to read an entire book with a frantic pacing when nothing frantic is actually going on (because obviously the entire book cannot be an intense crash scene). That being said, I'm really looking forward to the release of this book because I like the story so far and I need to know how this all plays out.
