Holy Smokes!!!! Talk about transporting back to the Scream days. I would be lying if I said that this didn’t give me the chills when I read it. Alice is a girl who has to stand in and testify for the trial of her sister’s murder. Alice hits her head the day of the trial and in a sense teleported back to the day of the murder. Classic Cinderella move, she has until midnight to get down to the bottom of what in the heck actually happened in that corn maze, all while dodging her own murder. She finds that no one is who they say they are and you definitely can not trust anyone. There are a ton of references to classic horror films which was so much fun to read. I loved the flow of the book. It was extremely suspenseful and kept me guessing who the killer was. Needless to say I was wrong in every level and the ending was unexpected. I’m still recovering, in a good way. This was an amazing book and I seriously can not wait to read more by this author.
