This is a book that people who love slasher movies such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre would devour. It is a quick, easy read, but don't be fooled. It is also packed with action.
Sisters, Claire and Allison, couldn't be more different, but their relationship works to create the tension needed in a whodunnit murder mystery. You may or may not know who the slasher is from early on, which will appeal to those who like to play detective along with the characters in the book.
If blood and gore are not your thing, avoid this book. The descriptions of the slasher moments are vividly written, leaving little to the imagination. References to bone, stumps, and lots of blood inundate many of the more violent scenes.
One final observation is that the cover is just perfect for this genre of fiction, blood droplets mixed with blood, pink sparkly cat ears and a deep red lip gloss, suggest the innocence of the demographic mixed with the violence of the story.
