I was really excited to receive this book from BookishFirst. I love horror movies so this hooked me right away. This book is about Alice (Allie) who is the only witness in her sister's murder trial. One year ago her sister was murdered in a corn-maze and now Allie is going to testify about what she saw. She hits her head and suddenly she's transported back to a year ago to relive the night her sister was murdered and figure out what really happened. She has until midnight to find out the truth. Allie was quirky and I liked her sense of humor and knowledge of the horror genre. I also really liked the chapter titles. This book is full of 90s nostaglia and classic horror/slasher film references so if you're into that you will love this book. I felt a little bored here and there but the plot twist was pretty good and surprising to me. It's a fun book compared to other more serious thrillers that I usually read. Read if you like Scream, Groundhog Day and Final Girls trope.
