I was super excited to read this book but alas, it left me feeling disappointed in the end. The atmosphere is creepy, perfect cold halloween nights. I’m a big fan of slasher movies and books so I wanted to really get my hands on this one, but ended up disappointed. The ending was not what I expected, and definitely not what I wanted. Although, I was very surprised by who the killer was, not even close to my predictions so that’s definitely a plus. The movie references was a little over the top, I get that it played a big part in the book since it is technically a slasher book, but it got to be too much. And the small supernatural element to it was a bit of a head scratch to be honest. Apart from that, I did enjoy the slasher part of it, the creepy vibes and trying to figure out who was behind it was fun. Taking away the supernatural element and just letting it play out like a good slasher would have been perfect.
