I initially grabbed this book due to its cover and title. "How To Survive Your Murder".... Sounded so interesting, but was a little bit upset when she wasn't surviving her own murder, but rather trying to prevent one instead.
The story begins with Alice, a homebody who loves horror and would probably love true-crime, witnesses her sister get murdered by somebody named Owen. A year later, it is Alice's job to testify as a witness in Claire's murder trial, but right before the trial, she is knocked unconscious and sent a year back. So what does she do? What ever normal sister probably does, and she tries to save her sister Claire.
The book is your typical YA thriller. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what exactly will happen next? I'm not usually a fan of this genre (I stick to cheerful romance!) but I found this book to be a great way to explore another genre. It was fun, enthralling, and for the most part, I think you will have a hard time putting it down because you will need to find answers.
