This book has me hooked from the very beginning with references to iconic slasher flicks like Texas Chainsaw and Scream. Alice and her friends are shown to have depth just in the first 40ish pages. I couldn’t get a read on their exact age, but the author did a fantastic job portraying them as the high school students they are.
