I enjoyed this first read, but it read very young from the perspective of teenagers and all that goes with the age group. It is fully YA genre but the writing was good.
The story jumped into the action right away, beginning with the night of Claire's murder before going backwards in time to three hours before them progressing forward in time again back to the beginning. The opening scene and the ending of the first look reminded me of an old-school horror flick. There was gore and creepiness for sure.
If you enjoy a scary read with a bit of gore written in the YA genre (think Friday the 13th, but with teenager stuff thrown in), this could be a great read for you.
