This was a fun and fast-paced book that really gets you in the mood for the spooky and autumn season. If anyone isn't sure what to pick up that would give you the fall vibes I would absolutely recommend this book. This is the story of Shay a teenage witch who in a desperate attempt to to secure a scholarship decides to join the School musical. If anyone knows anything about me it's that I love witchy stories and musicals so this is the perfect combination of two of my loves in a stand alone book!
I would like to include a trigger warning for grooming in this book. There is a plot where a teacher is trying to convince their students that they should enter into a relationship with him because of his connection to this very lucrative scholarship that everyone wants. I would say that this aspect is mostly well handled but it is in the midst of a lot of other plot lines.
