Such a fun read. Giada wants to live her dream, away from the traditional family way. She's feisty and rebellious, and she is still 13 years old so she will act like a brat. Sometimes I forget that having flawed heros is a thing.

The mythical creatures that help Giada and the story is want drew me in. The Italian culture is a bonus in didn't expect to learn. The sudden language every now and then got me confuse. I had to look up things since I got them mixed with spanish (language is kind of similar). But for a younger reader that this book is meet for, they would be confuse and possibly frustrated.

I do love the sibling conflicts between Rocco and Glands. It shows how siblings act with each other, with the caring and shouting and the silent treatments. It's rare for me to read siblings like this these days.

I would love to read more books in this world. I know it didn't leave on a cliff hanger but having a Rocco's pov would be nice.
