Fascinating twist on middle grade "heroine" fantasy!

First, let's start with this cover. OMG! I love the illustration with bright colors. Really drew me right in. The story started off so cute! I already love Giada's misfit, going to do what she wants personality. I mean really, why can't a guaritrice use their magic to heal creatures instead of people?? I'm super excited to read more of this story and share it with my middle-grade niblings! :-)
