My first thought was how neat the description sounded, but I have no idea what I expected. The narrative threw me right into the moment. It's written in second person yet I didn't notice at first. Instead, I was caught up living in the moment, feeling at home and curious to would happen next. Also this sounds like some historical fiction I really need in the world.
