Interesting Writing, But Distant
For the first part of this book, it seemed very typical and didn’t really stick out from any other contemporary I have read. But, as the story gets going, it does become more unique. Although I found the plot to be slow at times, I did enjoy the last part of the book the best. I really enjoyed Helena Fox’s writing style. I think the way she wrote Biz’s rushing, sporadic thoughts and mind was interesting and gave a good insight to how she was feeling. Overall, I did enjoy reading this book, but it was just not very full of things that were happening and I wasn’t able to connect with the characters. In general, I felt like I was distanced from the plot and characters, so I was not very into it while I was reading it.
